There exists plethora of roles across different industries and functions and most of these don’t have a standardised way of evaluating candidates. The problem statement was to create customised interviews for any job role within 5 minutes and send the interview link to candidates.
Approach
We designed Interview Designed, a tool to automatically generate complete interview questions using only the job description of the role. We start by identifying critical, must-have skills for the role and generate questions of varying difficulty for each of these skill. We also extract logistics information for the role which go in the interview as well. The HR or recruiter using the tool is shown a preview of the interview which they can modify to add more questions, change difficulty, create complex dialogs etc.
Key Challenges
A key challenge was to augment incomplete, vague CVs with relevant skills for the role. We created a database of must-have skills identified across 11 different departments. This way we were able to enhance the job description and create interviews more suited for the requirement.
